Driver App for Transfer Companies
A driver app is the mobile tool a dispatcher uses to assign a job to a driver, the driver uses to see the route, and both use to track status — on the way, completed. We haven't published a native app yet; we bring the reservation experience built across five transfer sites and our PWA/native decision process to this app.
Where transfer companies lose ground coordinating drivers
When job assignment happens by phone or WhatsApp, dispatch tracks driver availability from memory.
When no one knows where a driver is or what stage a job is at, the customer calls dispatch and dispatch calls the driver.
When end-of-shift reporting is done by hand, tallying how many jobs each driver completed becomes a month-end scramble.
How we work
At transfer and taxi companies, coordination between dispatch and drivers usually runs over phone and WhatsApp; this becomes a bottleneck once volume picks up — dispatch tracks driver availability from memory, and drivers learn job details verbally. A driver app turns this coordination into a structured flow: a job goes directly from dispatch to the driver, the driver sees route and customer information in the app, and updates status with one tap. On dispatch's side, which driver is on which job becomes visible instantly; end-of-shift reporting stops being a manual reconstruction and comes out of the system automatically.
We haven't published a native mobile app yet — we say that plainly. But the reservation flow we built for Jet Transfer Cyprus, Aydın Transfer, Kıbrıs Lefkoşa Taksi, Kardeşler Taxi, and Welcome Pickups gave us deep knowledge of this sector's business model — routes, pricing, customer communication; what's missing is simply carrying that knowledge to the driver's side, in a mobile interface. Our mobile-app service starts by deciding between native and PWA: if you don't need hardware access like camera or Bluetooth, a PWA — single codebase, no store review — is usually faster and cheaper; if native is genuinely required, we ship from one React Native/Expo codebase to both stores.
We start by mapping dispatch's job-assignment process and drivers' actual working patterns — how many drivers, how many concurrent jobs, what information they need. We then build the dispatch panel and driver app on the same data model, as an extension of our existing reservation system rather than a separate one. If native is required, App Store and Google Play accounts open in your name, and we handle store review and release. Scope depends on fleet size and daily job volume; a small fleet might need only a simple status-update screen, while a larger fleet prioritizes real-time location tracking sooner.
What this solution includes
- Job assignment screen — dispatch assigns an incoming booking to an available driver with one tap.
- Route view — the driver sees customer location and route information in the app, without switching to a separate maps app.
- Status updates — on the way, with customer, completed states are logged with one tap, visible to dispatch instantly.
- PWA-or-native decision — if you don't genuinely need hardware access like camera or Bluetooth, a PWA can be faster and cheaper.
- Integration with the dispatch panel — the driver app is designed as an extension of the reservation flow we've built across five projects, not a separate system.
